Indoor Soccer Shoes for Dance Games pt2
Somehow playing with indoor soccer shoes that weigh 330 grams makes me play better than any lightweight shoe under 200 grams I've ever played in.
On my second session in them 2 days ago, I was a little tired and tilted out that I couldn't get any grip out of them (since rubber indoor soccer shoes require a break-in period to wear in the rubber for better grip on smooth surfaces).
Third session last night, I was in heaven. Did Fullgoyle D22 on Pump a couple times last night with really good consistency. Was hitting the stretchy P1-P2 and back transitions during the 2nd/3rd streams. Felt like I had unlimited energy even though I forgot to stretch beforehand.
Completely sold on them as my main shoe because many brands just make a not-too-different indoor soccer shoe every year and update them with cool new colors.
Umbro XIII Classico LT IC, & Nike Mercurial Vapor 15 Academy IC.
I has previously bought the Nike's a few years ago, but then returned them because either they sent me the wrong pair (the club with no cushion instead of academy which has the air zoom cushion), or I didn't understand how long they took to break in. I completely forgot which one is was, so I'm re-ordering these excitedly. I had to hunt down these from some random soccer merchant website to get the color I wanted.
The Umbros on the other hand, were a wild journey. According to their website, their official shoes and gear are sold through Amazon in the USA. I go to Amazon. Nothing is in stock in my size. Search web for Umbro store USA. Two strange looking sites pop up. They have the stuff I want in stock, but everything is seemingly "on sale" and there's a lot of language urging me to buy buy buy. I ignore this, and I'm like "sweet, I wanna try this shoe and this shoe, lemme checkout with PayPal since they say they take PayPal". Paypal is nowhere to be found on checkout-- ok this is weird and sus. I don't wanna enter my credit card info here.
I looked did a whois on the domain and it goes back to some website called diymysite, which is entirely written in Chinese. But Umbro is a british brand. If these Umbro USA sites aren't a scam, I'm guessing they're counterfeiters or something? Or possibly the factory that makes them in China selling them direct.
Anyways, that weirded me out so I did some more digging and found another online soccer retailer based out of the EU that was selling the Umbros for what seems like a fair price, with a cool color and also a leather upper.
